If you share your bed with an animal, then this might make you think otherwise.
Michelle Barrow, a writer at xoJane, had to have a two-inch ball of cat hair removed from her vagina after sharing a bed with her cats Cricket and Donut.
How? Her gynecologist’s theory is that cat hairs in the bed became attached to her partner’s penis and were then transferred to her vagina. Rather than being flushed out, they became entangled in her IUD contraceptive coil.
In a post original published in 2015, but which has been making the rounds again, Barrow explains that she’d had a stomach ache for around a month and decided to get it checked out, believing it was her IUD.
