When I was a kid, I always wanted to have a tail.
I know. It sounds weird but I think giving the specifics of exactly what kind of tail I wanted will help to mitigate the weirdness of such a strange desire.
You ever see kangaroos? How they’re almost impossible to knock down? How they balance themselves on their super strong, super functional tails by leaning back on it and kicking people into kingdom come?
Well, that would’ve been me if I was born with the kind of tail I always dreamed of. Sure, I would’ve needed a custom car seat that made room for it and buying pants would always be a struggle, but I’d love to hear anyone laugh at me for having a sweet friggin tail because then they’d get a double-kick straight to the solar plexus.
Unfortunately, though, when human beings are born with tails, they turn out to be these freakish, utterly useless pieces of flesh. Like the one this Indian teenager had.
An 18-year-old boy in India secretly lived with a 7-inch tail for his entire life – believed to the longest ever reported.
His parents helped him hide his fleshy tail because they believed it was a good luck charm.
But on September 29th, the boy walked into the government hospital Super Specialty Hospital, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in western India, saying his tail had become painful. Continue to the NEXT PAGE to see the report and video of his surgery.
